What do you mean, what can I do?

Well I sat down today and finally bit the bullet with regards to filling in an application form for the jobs - it's interesting, but somehow I can sit and quite happily list all my qualifications, the facts and figures...

Then it comes to the personal statement - the basic gist of the question? "What can you offer us?" It's a good question, and a totally valid one - I'll be coming out of this course with the 'same' (roughly) qualifications as everyone else who's been on it, I'll also be coming out with years less experience than all currently practicing teachers - so what can I offer a school that's willing to take me on as a teacher?

Somehow this is an unanswerable question, trying to pull out my own abilities that make me an unique candidate is really difficult, I know I'll bend over backwards in any post I actually get, but that doesn't fill a side of A4 - I'm going to have a crack at this question later this evening, or tomorrow morning and see what I come up with, but if anyone who actually knows me would care to offer their thoughts (particularly those that have worked with me) then I'd very much appreciate hearing it.

More later.
